STEPHANIE PHOENIX, Board Member
Stephanie Phoenix is a lifelong supporter of the arts with a rich background in theatre and a deep commitment to nurturing creativity in young minds. While in high school and university, she was a devoted theatre kid, writing, directing, and performing in numerous productions.
Though her focus has since shifted to freelance writing and volunteering and working at a local preschool drop-in centre, she remains a firm believer in the transformative power of arts education.
Stephanie holds a Master of Arts in Theatre History from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Arts in Child Study and Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. In recent years she has been a classroom teacher and an educational advisor for an award-winning preschool app.
At home, she shares her life with her husband, their three artistic children, two cats, and a dog, all while attempting to write her first novel. She enjoys reading, walking with friends, and, when she’s not attending plays, she considers herself to be a bit of a concert addict.
