Abi is an Ontario certified teacher, who has worked in various educational roles over the past decade, in both private and public educational institutions. She has taught internationally, as a primary school teacher in the UK, and more recently, as an occasional teacher for the Durham District School Board. She also currently works as a public servant, at both the federal and municipal levels, and has worked within the Museum Services sector of the City of Toronto’s Economic Development and Culture division for over a decade.
Abi loves to try out new creative and artistic hobbies, including knitting, crocheting, embroidery, painting, calligraphy, and more. She vastly enjoys performance art, as well as museums and art galleries, and has even participated in a few smaller musical performances in the past, as she played both the violin (Carnatic music) and the flute (Western music) for several years. As an avid traveller, Abi has been to over 30 countries, and loves to dive into the local art and culture scene on her travels.
